Chef, David Schoen!

Hi. I’m excited to cook Rice Browns with you. After two decades in the kitchen,

Chef David opened his first restaurant, called Pangea Bistro, in Chicago, Illinois in 2001. It received stellar reviews for its eclectic approach to American cuisine and set the course for what would become Chef David’s entrepreneurial journey.

In 2003, he went on to open Wasabi Sushi Lounge in Panama City, Panama. Chef David collaborated with Japanese Master Chef Hideo Ishii-San in designing an authentic Japanese menu, creating what E-Entertainment called “the best sushi in Latin America.”

David started Knife & Grill in 2010—a company focused on catering, private training, and bringing new culinary products to the market. 2015 saw the invention of the Selfie Cork. This universal bottle stopper turns almost any bottle into a mono-pod for hands-free pictures and videos.

Currently, David is in the process of bringing new and exciting products to market. He designs and develops new culinary concepts while consulting for bars and restaurants.
